ABOUT THE EVENT

This is the Knoxville sister of the Nasty Women exhibition launched in New York. It is one of many national exhibitions organized to demonstrate solidarity among female artists and allies who identify with being a Nasty Woman in the face of threats to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, women's healthcare rights, immigration rights, racial and environmental justice. It also serves as a fundraiser to support organizations defending these rights. Check out other Nasty Venues around the world here

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • There is a $5 per piece entry fee to offset the costs of the exhibition. Each artist is limited to 3 submissions. Any profits will be donated to a non-profit organization that benefits woman and girls in the Knoxville area.

  • Works in any media are accepted (please email us regarding sound, video, or new media). All work must be ready to display (unframed work will be affixed to wall with clips).

  • Artists may choose to sell their work and donate the money to the fundraiser. In an effort to raise the most funds while providing affordable art by great artists, we ask that you price your work no less than $20 and no more than $100.

  • Any unsold artwork must be picked up on Monday, June 5, 10 am - 2 pm. Artwork can be shipped as long as a pre-paid shipping label and packaging have been provided.
